I have a direct inguinal hernia repair question
I am scheduled for open inguinal hernia (3.5cm) surgery repair, with mesh, at the end of June 2026. Surgeon indicated that he will cut a couple of the nerves in the groin area. And as a result, I will have numbness in upper side in the future. But this will hugely reduce the chances of chronic pain usually caused by the mesh placement.
anyone have similar words from the surgeon. Or future numbness. If so .... any information would be greatly appreciated. Thx
