My mom is in the ICU after a blood clot was discoveted in her stomach, they did emergency surgery but shes in critical condition and not able to wake up or follow commands. She has extremely high iron levels, her heart is damaged and has a clot in it. Shes on life support and not improving. She was a daily wine drinker and smoker for 35+ years. Never wanted to stop. Didnt go a day without alcohol, now she is dying. Multi system organ failure. She has encephelatitis and inflammation everywhere and cant get the fever down. Conversations and turning to comfort care I am only 33 and I am not going to have a mom anymore. I am an alcoholic in recovery and just celebrated 6 years. I am so upset because my mom and I always had a complicated relationship, we got in an argument last week and i told her I didnt want to talk to her anymore. Then this happened. I got to tell her I was sorry and that I loved her before she went in for surgery. I am devastated, I feel so much guilt.

Had a pudendal nerve block with pelvic and bladder botox yesterday. The anasthetic wore off around 5 am this morning and had some breakthrough pain. Now I am having full on burning, firing pain down my left side leg. My doctor said it would be “unusual” for me to have that pain because the block they did was in a different nerve. Im thinking theres also some irritation to the sciatic nerve? I had this pain before which is what prompted me to go to urogyn. For reference, this pain has been ongoing since I had a ten pound baby two years ago. Late in my pregnancy, I was stuck bent over and could not walk. Did physical therapy before birth and pelvic floor therapy after, no relief which lead me to this. Im worried they treated the wrong nerve? Can someone offer some input please 😧
