We are having our first child - a daughter - this week! My wife is Turkish and we are thinking of either Alara or Kayra. Alara means "water fairy" a mythological fairy who protects lakes & rivers and brings "Joy/Good luck." Kayra is also an ancient name meaning "blessing" often viewed as a "gift" or "mercy" bestowed by a divine power - also known as "The Creator" or "Tree of Life"
