This would be my time time using a controller in about 14-15 years, So i am a bit rustic with it but i'm enjoying playing games casually when i don't want to play with mouse and keyboard.

I have a problem with it though, when i'm using the app i have no clue about deadzones and joystick resolutions, stick trajectory, stuff like that. How would i go about setting up the controller for someone with my lack of experience on the app and what settings should i use on steam so i can take advantage of it?
