Just watched MKII
I wasn't expecting very much, but I still had to watch it, because I'm a real MK fan and don't have difficulty watching bad movies.....
But guys, I have something to tell you. THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST MORTAL KOMBAT MOVIE I HAVE EVER WATCHED.
The fights were amazing, a lot more canon stuff than the first one. The redemption is real, the universe is super rich, and there are easter eggs without making it cringe. Kitana was just WOW. At first, I was like, "Meh, I don't like her very much," but wow, amazing performance from the actress! Also, her fights were the best. Bald Jade didn't bother me too much. The acting was good, and the character was very much Jade-like, personality-wise and story-wise.
Noob was pretty underwhelming, but I never really cared about him, so it's okay for me.
They completely ignored the Arcana stuff, but they didn't make it inconsistent, so it wasn't weird that it wasn't a thing anymore. They only referred to it as "Superpowers" that the chosen warrior develops over time.
They showed some of Edenia at first, which is great. If you guys are planning to pass on it because of MK 2021, please reconsider.
As someone who was very disappointed by MK 2021, this movie was outstanding!
