Yesterday everyone here convinced me to go to Voron over RatRig (thankyou to all of those who offered advice) and now I'm looking at a kit because I really can't be bothered self sourcing.

My main toss up is between a LDO and a Siboor Trident build and I know this gets asked a lot but I have a slightly different criteria than others.

I'm not too fussed about shipping issues or ease of build as I'm confident I can navigate this especially with the help of you guys on Reddit. I also am not too fussed about CNC parts ect.

The main draw to me for the Siboor is it seems like I'm getting a lot more printer better nozzle, AWD, bigger build plate, thicker better build plate ect for less money.

I'm in Australia so a Siboor is about $1800 for Siboor rails and LDO is about $2000

I'm not too concerned about speed as I'm currently running an ender 3 so anything is an upgrade!

My main part would be wanting something reliable but still upgradable and my understanding is that LDO is a lot more standard so it's a lot easier to upgrade. I will be looking at Bondtech INDX when it's available so the 9mm belt may produce problems with comparability??

Hi all, suprisingly I can't find almost anything recent comparing Voron to Ratrig.

Looking at having a fun DIY project but want a printer I can still actually use and not have to baby sit every time to print, happy to tune it though. Modding is definitely something I want to get more into as I have modded my ender 3 for 7 years now.

It seems like Voron has a bigger community behind it. But how does all this actually come into play? I would be looking at the Ratrig v4.1 or the Voron trident most likely. Probably at the 400mm or 350 size.

Ideally I will be looking at bondtech indx if it's all it's chalked up to be when it's available.

Does anyone have experience with both of these? Or even one. How good are they? Looking at mostly functional parts and will be running fully enclosed.

Thanks to anyone that replies!!!
