My backyard is overrun by mosquitoes! Are there any safe treatments I can do to kill the mosquitoes without hurting my chickens?

The mosquitoes are horrible & I want to sit outside with my chickens but I have to bathe myself in repellent & sometimes that doesn’t even work.

I do have one of those large purple bug zappers but I’m not sure if it works during the day. Or I’ve had it plugged in at night but still get eaten alive.

There’s no standing water in my yard. However there is a canal along the backside of my neighborhood that I’m sure doesn’t help. I’m also in South Florida so it’s just constant.
