Hey guys. Can anyone explain to me why my keyboard freaks out in the middle of the game?

The following picture is what happens. When I press W, it brings up this menu. The esc button also stops working.

Restarting usually fixes it, but I have to do that every like 5 minutes in game. I just want a quick fix so I can keep playing without restarting my PC.
