After 100+ hours, my "Ratatan Zoo" is finally coming together. Day vs. Night. 🌙☀️
Ancient Orangutan temple! 🦧 This one took forever to detail but it was worth it! 🌿
I integrated overgrown stone ruins directly into the habitat, surrounded by dense tropical foliage and tall palms. For the guests, I created an elevated stone pathway overlooking the habitat. There’s also a fantastic covered wooden viewing deck perched right on the edge of the cliff above the water. 🌿 (Climbing structure made by Wyatt!)
Do 10,000cc animals sell?
I have a personal rule never to put my animals up for over 5,000cc because I know how hard I worked to get the number of Conservation Credits I have, while still getting animals with good genetics to release/trade, and want to offer others affordable ones too. Even my albino animals (West African Lions are my most frequent ones) with all four genetics markers over 80% will be under that limit.
Do animals up for trade at 10,000cc really sell often enough that it seems worth it to repeatedly list them at that until they sell? I get it if it’s a rare, perfect quality animal, but it’s usually animals you can get for <7,000cc that frequently get traded.
Do you know baby Quokka will peek out of its mother's pocket before born?
I created a beautiful lush ocelot habitat that no one likes lol
[WIP] First Zoo! (Tropical, Central-South American)
I was struggling to figure out which theme of a zoo I wanted to build. After trying savannah, temperate, and even trying arctic, I settled for a tropical, Central and South American theme, heavily inspired by a few small towns in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guatemala, and Brazil. I used some real-life references, as well as exploring myself, through Puerto Rico.
Each photo has a caption, telling you what you're looking at.
The idea behind the zoo is that it was a small town nestled in the rainforests and mountains, and they banded together to create a zoo to help bring interest and money into the town, and to help warn and advise against the rampant deforestation, pollution, and increasing urban expanse of the island. That is why where are some "houses" scattered around the zoo.
Any animal recommendations. Doesn't have to be a central or south American animal, obviously! Just something unique, and fun!
(Please, I'm out of ideas...)
Any other comments, or ideas, or even references for buildings to be added next, let me know! The think tank is running dry...
Working on a planet zoo animal picker app
You pick a continent, biome, and how much land/water you have. It randomly picks a matching animal, shows you exactly how many fit in your enclosure (with the full calculation), and tracks which animals you’ve already placed in your zoo so they don’t come up again.
Covers all 210 animals including DLC.
Still work in progress, curious if this is something people would actually want, and what features you’d add?
Max height mountains
Hi everyone, i wanted to show the "zoo" (i still have to place an habitat) i've been working on for 200+ hours (most of them spent thinking on how to terraform all of ts)
As the title said, the tallest mountain reach the max height, 250m approximately (which is not the one with the glacier, but the one on the other side that looks like a volcano, not finished of course)
Obviously this map was made starting with a completely white height map (so cube shaped), however it only made me start at 120m, then it was all manual terraforming
I wanted to know if anyone out there as build something like this, I would love to take inspiration, but I didn't find anything so far
New franchise layout
I always tend to make my franchise parks gridded, so I challenged myself this time to really shake up the layout. What do you think?
Help a new zookeeper out
Hi everyone! Hopefully i used the right flair.
I’m new to the Planet Zoo world but i’ve always watched videos about it so i had to buy the game.
Now, despite looking amazing, i think this is one of those games that its hard to understand at the beginning but once you get to know the basics and little tips and tricks it becomes way easier.
So i was wondering if there is someone kind enough to guide me in this journey, mind you that i’d like to utilize the sand box mode and i use a Mac.
I thank you in advance and if you’re interested in helping me pls feel free to dm me.
I bought Planet Zoo on sale.. What is the best way to get the most out of the game as someone who needs structure and guidance.
What I mean is that I struggle with free building. I like a goal or at least some guidance or a goal. There are so many different modes, I'm not sure what the best is for someone who doesn't want to completely free build their own sandbox zoo?
created this Binturong and Otters enclosure! Hope you like it!
He almost looks real!!
I love the detail on this black rhinoceros!
I Built a Tropical Bornean Elephant Habitat for my All Species Zoo
I finally added a Borneo elephant habitat to the Asian section of my zoo.
The habitat was a little tricky because the Borneo elephant came out in a later DLC after this area of the zoo had already been completed, so I had to expand the section to make it work out.
Check out the video: https://youtu.be/JhBKb5n7cHc
Would love to hear what you think of the expansion and if any of you had trouble adding DLC animals into older zoo sections!

The World Zoo Project took 21 months to build, features 16 unique sections, and includes all 210 species in the game.
It's on the workshop if you want to see more photos of the zoo, or download it and see if your computer can handle the large file.
Built live over at my twitch
