So i've been using for few years one ISP who had decent speed 500/500 but when i wanted to download or go on discord and share screen or whatever in that sense i would get high ping spikes while gaming or get disconnected from internet and i had to unplug to plug again the ethernet cable from my PC.
Yesterday i bought got new isp net which gives me this speeds, but trying to play fortnite i've been getting ping spikes up to 300. Then playing FC 26 and sharing screen (being alone in the call) i've been able to play normally but during 15 minutes i got 4 spikes from 30ms to 70ms. I wonder if its the ethernet cable (20 metres long, no idea whats the brand or speed) whicih i got fast when i got the PC 4 years ago.
ChatGPT told me (yes i had to ask someone) that it could be the ethernet cable and i should get a cat7-8 cable which could help me. Movistar provided me with the latest router "Wifi 7" which they say is the best on the market so i really doubt it could be that.
