Big thanks to the redditor who suggested the pee pads to the bonnet for a cat with an elevator butt! Maybe not the prettiest solution but I found sanitary pads worked great and stick/unstick easily to the inside of the bonnet without interfering with the globe rotation during a cycle. Maybe LR can add some sort of feature or brand their own sticky sided pee pads for this type of situation, in the meantime, my pads will suffice!
