Should I sue my health provider?

Is this negligence?

In 2019 I had an ovarian cyst rupture that caused internal bleeding into my body cavity. I had surgery to repair the rupture to stop the bleeding.

Over the years I’ve had health issues that doctors can’t explain or find reason for. I’ve had numerous imaging scans over the years for these issues.

In February 2026, I had terrible abdominal pains so I went to the ER and got a CT scan done. they said they couldn’t find anything that “maybe it was all in my head“ and I should see a psychiatrist.

Fast forward to May 2026, the same abdominal pain returned and so I went to get an X Ray at Urgent care and was sent to the Hospital. I was told that ”maybe it was constipation.“ I went back the next day because the pain just kept getting worse.

The next day they did another CT scan and found that I had something in my abdominal area near my kidney that they “don’t know what it is but know it shouldn’t be there”. I was admitted into the hospital to get surgery the next morning. I went into surgery where they determined it was left over blood from my 2019 surgery that was left in my body cavity and now infected and inflamed.

they went back and looked at all prior imaging since the 2019 surgery and have seen it on every scan. I was never told about it ever.

is this something I should do something about? Why did they leave blood in my body cavity?

Why did they see it on every scan over the years, never mention it and just let it get worse and worse?

Open to other peoples thoughts on this.
Thank you!
