Hi all, so I am having my first cystoscopy next week. My Dr doesn’t offer anesthesia or lidocaine, and if anyone has done it this way please share your experience.

I do plan on taking Xanax beforehand, but after a urodynamics this past week it only relaxes so much.. and I’ve heard this upcoming experience might be more to it.. TIA

edit: I asked the nurse prior and she said lidocaine wasn’t meant to be put in the urethra or anywhere internal. I think I might have to load up on advil and azo
