Diarrhea and pain weeks after surgery, please help

First of all english is not my first language so sorry for any bad grammar.

My dad is 52y old and exactly 1 month ago he had a surgery to fix an inguinal hernia, the doctors said the surgery was more complex than usual and it took them 3 hours (my dad discovered this hernia in the beginning of 2023 and because of anxiety and also because there's a wait line to do those surgeries in my country he only done it this year). After the surgery I think he went pretty well to be honest, he was experiencing pain specially in the first days but had no fever or vomiting. After about 2 weeks the hernia site was pretty swollen and green like, he then had an image test done and went to a doctor.. He was told it was all normal, it was just a lot of water inside and normal healing process. Then he only started getting better and better (still complaining about pain everyday though) and eventually he started going back to a normal life again (he just started driving again this week after just resting and only having small walks everyday) but then today he's having fully watery diarrhea (he went to the bathroom about 14 times already today and it's only 2pm in my country right now) and a lot of pain (no vomiting or fever though). Should he go to urgent care today? Or it can be a completely normal process? It's known that antibiotics (which obviously he took after the surgery) can cause those things but he didn't have diarrhea while he was taking them, so I'm afraid of it having nothing to do with the antibiotics.. What do you guys think? I really would like an opinion because he's very anxious (and so am I and my mom), if you need more information to give a better opinion I can try to provide..
