"BuT tHe GoDs WeRe FoReShAdOwEd In SkYpEiA" Yeah? Then why weren't they used/mentioned until after the convenient God Fruit retcon in Wano ~20+ years later lmao
They aren't even namedropped in Skypeia (i.e. Sun God & Rain God), whereas now they're called Rain God Zaza and Sun God Nika specifically. People even get sacrificed to the Gods in Skypeia, is this what Nika stands for lmao? And don't say Skypeia is isolated so a lot got lost in translation over the 800+ years when we have Kuma's dad and the guard who talked to Who's Who both namedropping "Sun God Nika". So this means the slaves' word of mouth for 800+ years was able to perfectly preserve "Sun God Nika" and his stupid dance/beat lmao. Yeah, because people are known to not embellish or exaggerate tales over time and are known to tell them perfectly as it was told to them. Hell Elbaf is even a counter-example of this where the Giants actually perceive Nika differently due to people changing stuff over time or interpreting his deeds differently, which makes sense lol.
I think Oda clearly had to include all the other Gods since he retconned Luffy's fruit to the Sun God in Wano so now the audience would naturally ask where the other Gods are. If it was actually planned out we should've had the various people of the world, revere/hint at the Gods or at least name-drop them. Like the Minks maybe worship the Rain God (due to Zunesha spraying water), the Dwarves in Green Bit - The Forest God (Since Green Bit is an island teeming with plant wildlife), and maybe the Lunarians - The Earth God (Since they chose to live on the Red Line which is this unbreakable large rock that circles the planet). Instead we got none of that and our first mention of them is in Wano ~20 chapters before G5 lmao. Totally planned, yeah sure.
