I HATE women’s clothing!
I’m a 26f and I have never liked women’s clothing! First of all, I don’t have much sense in how to style it- what “matches” with what, when to tuck in shirts and when to leave them untucked, and other strange rules.
Secondly, women’s clothing is a sensory nightmare. Most of the time I wear loose (not skinny) jeans or sweatpants with a T-shirt or sweatshirt. This isn’t very feminine and hasn’t succeeded in getting much attention from the opposite sex- I’ve never had a boyfriend.
It seems all “nice” women’s shirts are made with this disgusting plasticky material that feels terrible on my skin, have tight places where material is pinched and gathered, ruffles, and they are often so low in the neckline I feel I have to wear an undershirt, which bunches up like an accordion and bothers me all day. And if it’s a shirt that requires being tucked in- forget it. I’m not doing that.
Dresses are no better. They almost always have a gross material and they swish against my legs, and rumple when I sit, and I feel almost naked in them.
Don’t even get me started on women’s shoes. They are portable torture devices, with bands in all the wrong places, rubbing your feet, making them cold and sweaty at the same time… I only wear boots or sneakers.
I wish I could find a sensory friendly bunch of clothes that looks stylish and feminine so I don’t end up dressing like a middle school boy. More than that, I wish society would change so that women could dress like men and still be seen as beautiful by nature. All men have to do is wear a polo shirt and decent pants and suddenly they look nice and presentable!
