Squatter in my hot tub

This furry friend has been hanging around our suburban property for a while, and we discovered that it has taken up residence in our (broken, drained) hot tub’s under-skirting. We thought it was a male given its size, but this morning “Ricky” emerged and I noticed some big ol’ nipples. Pretty sure Ricky is actually a new mum.

I am torn: I don’t want to disturb a nest, but I also don’t want to encourage long-term residence. I am going to put out a bowl of water to help a fellow mum out. Would putting some food out be a terrible idea?
