I think that the lighthouse is the central answer to the town’s mystery. When Tabitha visits the lighthouse, the boy in white tells her it’s the right place, but not the right time, before pushing her away. Also similarly in the past, Miranda tries to reach the lighthouse via the Bottle Tree at night, but this smiley creature ( son of Ellis😂) stops and kills her. What really stands out is that the smiley creature actually ran to stop Miranda. Normally, the creatures walk slowly and don’t rush, which makes this moment feel different. So maybe the creatures come only at night, acting as guardians who prevent the villagers from reaching the Bottle tree which leads to the actual lighthouse house that helps to break the curse. This kinda makes sense that the answer lies in the night especially since Victor’s drawings show a yellow light from the lighthouse. Let me know in the comments what you guys think? 🤔
