the rp is set in a world where people with powers are only just starting to come out into the open. Two characters rise at the same time and kind of get pulled into each other’s lives.(We will discuss and plan this more)
One is more of a “sun” type ,calm, thoughtful, and quietly strong. Their power is something more personal, like telepathy, mind control, or illusions. They believe things can get better, and they actually try to make that happen by creating a safe place where others like them can learn and exist without fear. Even after everything, they still choose to see the good in people.(their abilities can be anything else as long as it kind of ends up in a dark and light dynamic.)
The other is more of a “moon” type. Intense...guarded, and hard to ignore. Their power is a lot more destructive, something like magnetism, gravity, or raw energy. They’ve been through enough to stop believing in peace. To them, the only way to be safe is to be strong enough that no one would ever try to hurt them again.They meet before everything really falls apart. At first it’s simple. They train together, push each other, argue, laugh, and slowly get closer without really meaning to. The “sun” is one of the only people who can calm the “moon,” and the “moon” understands them in a way no one else does. It turns into something deeper....(We will plan why they got together and how they met of course.)
But they want different things. One tries to build something safe. The other wants to tear everything down and rebuild it their way...they want to use their powers against the normal humans. Destroy them and hurt them like he was hurt.They end up on opposite sides, but it’s not clean or easy. There are still feelings there. Every fight feels personal, like an argument that never really ended they still care, even when they probably shouldn’t...afterall it would feel like betrayal or intense feelings needing to fight the person you love.
I’m open to where it goes, whether that’s tragic, messy, enemies with feelings, secret meetings, or even them finding their way back to each other somehow....at its core, it’s kind of about two people who love each other but can’t agree on the kind of world they want to live in.
