The snail in question is named Frankie. I noticed she was sitting in a funny way yesterday (first pic) and just thought "Haha! Goofy ass snail!" But today I noticed she was in the same spot, in a slightly different position, and is completely out of her shell. When I tried poking her, she only reacted slightly, so I know she's still alive. I pulled her out of the tank just to make sure she didn't smell and she doesn't have the dead snail smell, but she hardly reacted when I tried touching her in various spots. What I can't seem to figure out is why she's just hanging out of her shell like this and why she isn't responsive. I don't think she's THAT old (maybe 7 months old?) and I dont think she has the dreaded collapsed lung. I'm actively moving her into the hospital tank, but if anyone could give me at least some idea why she's like this, I would genuinely appreciate it.
UPDATE
Frankie is in the hospital tank, but she's on her back as if her body is trying float up. I really hope that isn't what I think it is...
