Hey guys,
I own a Triumph Speed 400 and I’m planning my next engine oil change. I’m a bit confused between Liqui Moly 10W50 (Street Race) and Motul 10W50 (7100).
Both are fully synthetic and meet similar standards (JASO MA2, API SN), so on paper they look pretty close. From what I’ve read, Motul is known more for strong engine protection and high-performance riding, while Liqui Moly is often praised for smoother operation and fuel efficiency.
My usage:
- Highway rides daily (40 kms)
- City traffic as well
I want something that:
- Handles heat well in traffic
- Keeps engine smooth
- Doesn’t burn off quickly
Which one are you guys using on your Speed 400 (or similar bikes)? Any real-world experience with either of these oils?
