After literally the second time visiting the dream world:
Partner: Wait, if the alarms stop us cause they wake us up... then what if we made it so we couldn't wake up?
Me: Um ok, how are we going to do that? Die?
*Partner wiggles eyebrows.*
Me: Oh, yeah, great plan. We just have to kill ourselves while we're already asleep. Sounds easy. How exactly do you think you're going to pull that one off?
Partner: *blinks at me and then proceeds to jump in the fire pit*
Me: What the fuck? What the hell are you doing? That's so dumb! You can't fall asleep while you're actively on fire! You're just going to die and never even go to the dream world at all! This is the stupidest plan I've ever heard!
*Our dude passes out from being on fire*
Me: SEE! I told you!!!!

...
Me: GODDAMNIT!
This was way before the game had given us any hints about how to get around the alarms. I don't think we were supposed to figure that out until way later. I was so pissed.
