Advice needed for painting/weathering a 3D printed Angie (Resident Evil) doll
Hi everyone! Since I like to go big or go home on everything I do, I decided the very first thing I should print ever was a BJD, I didn't intend for it to be a 2/3 scale but oh well. I’ve finished printing all the parts (used a few different colors as you can see, and 1 arm & leg aren't in the picture but I do have them), and now I’m looking for advice on the best way to achieve that creepy, weathered, antique porcelain look. I'm pretty sure that the material is PLA, and I *think* it's about 24.5" or 62cm. I have no idea where to start. My main questions are:
What paints, primers, sealants should I use so that it won't look streaky and won't stay tacky on plastic? (I've heard mixed things about MSC on plastic)
what grit of sand paper should I use for sanding it?
How do I give it that weathered look?
Any relevent advice? (ie. how to protect the joints so paint doesn't rub off)
