New motherboard isn't showing any sign of power
I'm building a PC, and I've gotten to the point where I've installed the CPU, its cooler, RAM, and an NVMe SSD into the motherboard. I connected the power supply to the ATX 12V and ATX 24-pin connectors on the board, connected the power supply to the wall, turned on the power supply, but no LEDs on the board lit up. I tried turning it on anyway, but that still didn't make anything happen; no lights, and the CPU cooler fan didn't start. I've tried making sure the power supply was on, unplugging and replugging the ATX power connectors, trying different outlets, but nothing works. Here are the parts that were used at this point:
- Motherboard: ASRock B860I WiFi Mini ITX
- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus
- RAM: Janky SO-DIMM to UDIMM adapters and two 8 GB sticks of DDR5 RAM scavenged from my ASUS laptop when I upgraded it before the RAM crisis
- SSD: Patriot P320 256 GB
- CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9x65
- Power Supply: be quiet! SFX L Power 600 W
The RAM adapters are more than a bit sketchy, and the CPU might not work on this motherboard without a BIOS update (not completely sure), but from what I understand, there should be a light on the motherboard that comes on when it has power regardless of the state of the other components. Also, turning it on should have at least shown some lights indicating some error if it couldn't interface properly with the other components. What am I doing wrong? Do I have any incorrect assumptions about the lights? Here's some links to pictures of my setup, plugged and unplugged
