how important is MAX course rigor?

i have taken max course rigor across all possible areas like math, sciences and english so far. however, my school's AP Lang class in junior year is extremely hard and requires tons of time commitment and work after school. it would likely take away from time i can spend on ECs like robotics and research + cause tons of stress overall.

most of the AP Lang students at my school get B's, but i heard for one specific teacher, around half the students can get As due to extra credit given every semester.

like i mentioned earlier, im working on robotics, research and am also making a supplemental art portfolio (for AP Art and other competitions asw), which is an important part of my profile. i will likely get 5-7 pieces done over the summer though to minimize the pressure over the school year.

my question is: does not taking max rigor highly reduce my chances of getting into t20s or ivies? should i take the AP Lang class and just take the GPA drop w/ a B? (I have a 4.0 so far as a current sophomore)

my other courses next yr: AP Calc BC, AP Chem, AP Physics 1, APUSH, AP Art and Spanish 3

+ AP Lang
