Why are addresses in the USA this way (see body text)?

The numbers for my address are 2805. The next door neighbor whose yard touches mine is 2801. Why is there the 4 number difference? I know one side of the road is even numbers and the other side is odd numbers from being a delivery driver in my teens but I never figured out why there's always a numerical gap in between addresses that literally have adjoining yards. Anyone else ever wonder this?

EDIT/UPDATE: u/John_Tacos was able to clarify the means as to why this is done. They are a City Planner and stated that it actually has nothing to do with USPS and is solely done by the municipalities.

Their statement: "Cities have minimum requirements for lot width. Each minimum width is given an address and if the actual lot is bigger than the minimum then some addresses are skipped." Thank you u/John_Tacos !

103,000 Miles

I have the "Wheelz" extended warranty (the one that covers "everything") until I hit the 120,000 mile mark.

The transmission slams when I leave my driveway. The driveway is a 7° incline. Sometimes when reversing, stopping, and shifting into drive and driving a little (between gear 1 & 2) is when it slams - like someone rear ended me.

Sometimes it slams after I backed into the driveway the night before and exit in drive slowly the next day.

It always slams after startup for about 10 minutes between gear shift 3, 4, or 5 (I assume because it's "hunting" for a gear).

The dealership says the warranty company basically won't do anything until it throws a code.

What should I do? It's incredibly frustrating that I'd have to essentially wait for it to fail, which could leave me stranded. How do I approach this situation?

Is Frieza actually "racist" or is he simply "correct" in his commentary about the Saiyans? For context, he calls them "monkeys." But, they have tails like a monkey and even transform into giant monkeys/apes when exposed to a full moon. So, isn't he simply correct in his notion(s)?

I play regularly and never in my life have I ever seen this many winners in a single drawing. This seriously has got to be a typo or a world record, not even joking.
