So, recently I was given some yarn from a friend whose grandmother passed away (RIP). I got three huge trash bags worth, and I was so absolutely hyped about it! One downside was that the yarn was older and had a weird smell (due to storage and what not). I read online that you could use delicates bags (lingerie bags) or nylons to wash and dry your yarn to prevent tangling. Sounds easy enough. Sent it through the wash and they came out fine, but when I opened my dryer I was welcomed to this monstrosity… never in my life have I felt so lied to and betrayed. On the bright side, the yarn smells great now.
