Confused about C3s in BTAU
Okay, this may get a bit convoluted, so I apologize in advance.
I am a bit confused on the C3 Alpha, Beta, etc, in BTAU. So is it 1 Master Unit and 2 Slave Units, or 1 Master Units and 3 slave Units? I was running a company and I had 2 C3 Master Alphas, and 6 C3 Slave Alphas, and 4 with no C3. And it was saying there were too many on the network. So, realistically, if I wanted to field a company, would I need like 2 Master Alphas, 2 Master Betas (unintentional pun) and then 4 slave Alphas and 4 Slave Betas? or like 1 Master / 2 Slave Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, etc.
Also, does each C3 channel ONLY communicate with mechs on that channel, for example a C3 Beta will not communicate with a C3 Alpha.
Now, if that is the case, then I am assuming the intention is to create smaller groups that work together (like 2 light C3 Alpha spotters for a C3 Master missile boat), and if that is the case, then does that mean for flaspoint missions I Would have to have at least 2 Master units on the same channel for a single lance, if I want them all to be on the same C3 network?
