Upcoming Practical Completion for new build - Advice on independent inspectors

Hey everyone, I’m building out in Waimakariri/Chch with a reputed builder. The build has actually gone really well so far, and the builder has been great with communication and updates. We have our practical completion walk-through booked in a few weeks time

I let the builder know I’d like to bring an independent inspector along for a handover report. They said they are happy with that, but politely mentioned that hopefully I get a "good person," as some inspectors can try to find things just to justify their fee or show off, even if it's not a legitimate defect.

Because the relationship with the builder has been so positive, I want to make sure I hire someone who is incredibly thorough and protects my investment, but who is also fair, professional, and understands actual acceptable building tolerances (rather than just trying to pick fights).

Has anyone used a great, pragmatic inspector in the Waimakariri/Chch area for a new build? And any tips for balancing a good relationship with the builder while still making sure the final snag list is completely accurate?
