Planted Tanks

Hi was just wondering what advice people had on starting a small low tech planted tank. I have a Fluval Flex 57 (15g) to use. I've been keeping fish almost 10 years now but have always been into the larger predator side of the hobby so know almost nothing about planted tanks. Any advice is appreciated thanks

Anyone got any experience breeding L600, L114 and L96 Cactus plecos? Would love to some day get either pairs or trios and breed them cause they’re awesome fish. Just got no clue how to start. Any tips or tricks on how to get them to breed? Cheers

Finally got the new 6 foot tank setup and the other tanks moved. Been needing to do this as everything was cramped and too big for the 5 foot tank. Finally got a measurement on the Marble Achara Catfish while moving him and he's 18.5 inch! That means he's grown around 10 inch since I got him in October last year! Everything did really well in the move and surprisingly I had very few leaks 🤣. Hopefully it's more good things to come!

Dont worry this is not their forever home, more just a means to give them a bit more space while I save up for their next tank, that'll be 8x4x3 718 gallons so should be enough space.

Only thing I plan on doing with this setup is making the 6 foot tank and the 5 foot tank both filter off of 1 large sump as I'm sick of canister filters breaking!

Any questions please ask!
