Solved hallucinations, seeking for answers

Hey, I'm a 19yo male and I had a pretty hard time last year because of worse and worse hallucinations in between November 2024 and May 2025.

I had just graduated, got to college and moved to a city next to my village in an appartment where I still live in. As the year began my grades were good, I had good friends a a financial stability thanks to my parents. Idk why but I started to feel depressed, I was staying on the couch for hours, not eating well and doing nothing but thinking about how life was kinda pointless compared to the gigantic size of the universe and things like that.

Since I had already expérience a minor depresive period like that in middle school I reacted quicly and talked abt this to my doctor who gave my antidrepressants (Sertraline). It didn't worked very well so a month later I saw him again and he gave me "Paroxetine", wich was a lot stronger apparently.

Not long after I changed my medication I started to feel observed and was constantly in hypervigilance, and as the weeks passed I was starting to sleep very badly so I was given normatics (Melatonin) and my sleep just kept getting worse.

I then started to have cold sweats, goosbumps, and I started to hear things when going to sleep, like clouds of bats flying down my ears. I then started to hear an ambulance turn around me in the distance even in broad day light. As my peers were not hearing a thing I realised that I had to do something about it so I looked up the effects of my medication and realised It could give hallucinations, so I stopped taking my medication.

After a few days my mental state was not improving and I started to see a tall black cloudish figure in the dark places, everywhere I was going I knew "IT" was there. Then I started to expericence chronic night terrors and sleep paralysis. I was afraid of going to sleep^and staying alone in my appartment was begining to eat me from the inside. At a certain point I was hearing babies crying for their lives for hours when going to sleep. I often thought about harming myself (Wich I am glad I NEVER did). I talked to a psychiatrist about it and I had multiple exams, like blood tests, electroencephalogram but nothing came out of it. No further inspections had been done since they wouldn't find what could do that since I stopped my medication.

I was still experiencing things like that but as I am a Cartesian spirit I never felt like it wasn't something abnormal.

Then I got to a museum in Tenerife, there I experienced my biggest psychotic crisis. I was alone in the last store of the building where were exposed Renaissance paintings on the walls and at the center of this gigantic room was standing a very old clock. The sound of the clock first started to feel heavy, like if it was begining to melt the entire place, I started to feel observed and very unwell in this place so I rushed my tour. As I was walking (fast) I heard voices whispering my name in my ears and as I was accelarating the voices kept "whispering but shouting" my name. At a certain point I remember looking at the pictures and seeing the faces slowly fading into black and then turning into a single big veiny eye looking directly at me in every single faces there were on the pictures. I felt like I was dying and got out of the museum asap seeking air. Then nothing.

I didn't experience anything weird after that. Does anyone have an explenation to all of this? My psychiatrist couldn't give me one. Now I am well and in a good mental state!
