I’ve noticed that almost every session I do targeting <3.5 mmol BL I will see higher values in BL after the earlier reps than later in the session, while keeping the intensity, HR and RPE fairly stable maybe even rising a little. For example today, I did 8 x 1 k with 60s rest, progressing from 3:40-3:38. After rep 4 BL was 3.5 mmol and after rep 8 2.7. This is something I have seen over multiple sessions right now and am wondering what this says about my physiology and if I could actually go a bit harder later in the session.
