Apologies for the lengthy post in advance, just hoping to knock out as many birds with as few stones possible here.
I picked up this 2022 Hatch ST w/ 50k miles about a week ago. Having an absolute blast driving it so far. The smokey mauve pearl is sexier than I thought it’d be.
I know zero about cars or modding, etc but I figure this is as good a time as any to start learning. Mostly looking for advice on some upgrade particulars while keeping it a tasteful daily driver. After my five minutes of reasearch I have some questions that I’d greatly appreciate your opinions on!
What I have so far:
-Bought it with tint of unknown quality, I’ll get this redone in quality ceramic at some point but fine with what it is for now.
-Came with new Michelin pilot sport all season tires which seem very nice. I love the stock touring wheels as well, no desire to change those for now.
-Black exterior emblems on order, as well as a rear bumper protector from College Hills. Weathertech floor mats and door sill protectors also inbound.
Not super interested in a chrome delete on the ST trim for now; I kinda like it, but may change my mind if it starts to look out of place later on.
What I’d like advice on:
(No cheap stuff, I’d much rather buy once, cry once)
Cosmetic:
-rear spoiler?
Leaning toward the HPD for known compatibility and color-matching. Any other options I should be considering?
-underbody spoilers/side skirt/splitter/diffuser?
I’d go all HPD if I could but it seems Honda OEM only offers the side and rear underbody parts on sedans. I guess Aero and Yofer (I know) would be the top choices here, but I’m not sold on either. What other top-quality options are there?
-black side mirrors, door handles, antenna?
Is getting these wrapped gonna be the best bet? Def not interested in any Amazon special snap-on covers or 3M taped shit. Suppose an amber light delete, etc would also be included here, but again, not sure if there are real quality options or not.
Performance:
-cat back exhaust
Currently considering Borla, MagnaFlow, Remark, probably in that order. Any other top contenders?
-front pipe
Is this something necessary on a civic? Worth it as long as I have a cat back already? What specifics are we partial to? PRL or something else?
-drop in air filter
K&N or aFe power? Something else?
-intake, intercooler, tuning
I realize this is where the biggest gains will be but also probably the steepest learning curve and easiest to mess up without proper knowledge and experience, so my plan is to learn as much as I can, finish the other stuff, see how I like that, and figure out these specifics in time. Literally anything you can provide here would be super helpful.
What else am I forgetting??
