We just adopted this kitten yesterday. He has a fever and is lethargic but the vet isn’t overly concerned and he’s on antibiotics now. We will go back in 2 days to check-in. Anyway, I just noticed this substance on one of his paws.. any idea what it could be? It doesn’t wipe off. The vet wasn’t sure what the cause of the fever is and I’m trying to figure out if it could be something he got into before we got him.

These are the 20ish years old on my forearms. I’m wondering if there is anything I can do to get rid of them.. I met with one dermatologist who said laser would only fix the texture, not the pigment loss, so they’d still be quite visible. I am pretty desperate.
