ich checke regelmäßig die Preise für meine Reisen nach Japan (1–2x im Jahr). Nun stelle ich wieder fest, dass es schon die nächste Preiserhöhung gibt – und das erst seit frühestens Donnerstag oder Freitag 😉
Ich muss einfach kurz meinen Frust rauslassen.
Um es einfach zu halten: Ich bleibe mal bei der Business Class. Von Berlin nach Tokyo (mit Umstieg in FRA oder MUC) lag der Preis 2025 als Frühbucher noch unter 1.500 Euro. Zum 01.01.2026 sind die Preise dann etwas gestiegen. Seit dem Iran-Konflikt sind sie auf etwa 1.750 Euro pro Strecke hochgegangen. Und der neueste Stand liegt mittlerweile bei über 1.900 Euro, fast 2.000 Euro – und ich rede hier noch von den günstigeren Tickets.
Die überteuerten Allegris-Angebote lasse ich mal komplett außen vor (da kann ich gleich bessere Business-Class-Produkte anderer Airlines nehmen und spare am Ende sogar noch Geld). Da frage ich mich wirklich, wie weit das noch gehen soll.
Sind euch auch schon weitere Preiserhöhungen aufgefallen? 1.750 Euro war eigentlich meine persönliche Schmerzgrenze für Business Class.
Economy lag gestern auch erst ab etwa 650 Euro. Premium Economy ist mittlerweile bei rund 1.000 Euro – nur zum Vergleich: Vor kurzem waren es noch etwa 750 Euro, und vor dem Iran-Konflikt lag sie als Frühbucher sogar deutlich unter 700 Euro. Premium Economy für 1.000 Euro?
Wie sehen eure Erfahrungen aus – habt ihr auch weitere Preiserhöhungen beobachtet? Und wie weit geht ihr da noch mit?
Für mich sind die persönlichen Schmerzgrenzen inzwischen erreicht. In Zukunft wird es wohl eher auf Finnair oder Turkish Airlines hinauslaufen.
Ich bezweifle, dass die Preise nach dem Iran-Konflikt so schnell wieder sinken werden – oder überhaupt noch annähernd auf das alte Niveau zurückkehren.
Es ist ärgerlich, denn ich bin eigentlich gerne mit Lufthansa geflogen und werde nächstes Jahr FTL haben – aber 1.000 € für Premium Economy? Come on.
Und Allegris fängt schon bei rund 1.600 € für Premium Economy an – das sind im Grunde Business-Class-Preise von 2025!

I regularly check prices for my trips to Japan (1–2 times a year). And once again, I’ve noticed yet another price increase—and this time it’s only been since Thursday or Friday at the earliest 😉
I just need to vent for a moment.
To keep things simple, I’ll stick to Business Class. In 2025, flights from Berlin to Tokyo (with a stopover in FRA or MUC) were still available as early bookings for under €1,500. As of January 1st, 2026, prices increased a bit. Since the Iran conflict, they’ve gone up to around €1,750 per leg. And now the latest prices are already above €1,900, almost €2,000—and I’m still talking about the cheaper tickets here.
I’m completely excluding the overpriced Allegris fares (at that point, I might as well book a better Business Class product with another airline and even save money in the end). It really makes me wonder how far this is going to go.
Have you noticed similar price increases? €1,750 was already my personal pain threshold for Business Class.
Yesterday, Economy was also starting at around €650. Premium Economy has climbed to about €1,000—just for comparison, not long ago it was around €750, and before the Iran conflict it was well below €700 when booked early. Premium Economy for €1,000?
What are your experiences—have you seen similar increases? And how far are you willing to go with these prices?
For me, I’ve reached my personal limit. In the future, I’ll probably be flying more with Finnair or Turkish Airlines instead.
I doubt that prices will drop again anytime soon after the Iran conflict—or even come close to the old levels.
It’s frustrating, because I actually enjoyed flying with Lufthansa and I’ll have FTL status next year—but €1,000 for Premium Economy? Come on.
And Allegris already starts at around €1,600 for Premium Economy—that’s basically 2025 Business Class pricing!
