Basic travel planner / trip researcher? TLDR at the bottom
I’m trying to gauge if there’s any interest in having a “bare necessities” type of travel guide/trip planner. I absolutely love the researching portion of trip planning, and finding all the must do/see, places to eat and even the small quirky things.
This would not be a typical trip planner type of experience, but more of a general information about the area, a loose daily schedule and options for things to do on different days and in different locations.
I plan all of the trips for myself and my partner, as well as taking charge on family vacations. My process is typically to get a general layout of the days, and to create options for each day as opposed to a strict schedule. This allows you to get as much done as possible if that’s what you want, without stressing about having to follow a specific itinerary to the exact minute by eliminating the “what should we do now?” question.
For example I’m currently planning a PNW roadtrip, and I have broken down the days into 1. Where we’re spending the majority of the day 2. Highlights for the city/area we’re in and 3. What area we are sleeping in that night. Aside from the basic breakdown, I then have extensive lists for each city of everything that we could do if we find ourselves with extra time after doing our top priority options, as well as multiple hotel options for each stay.
TLDR : Would you hire someone to do all of your trip research/mapping/blog checking/hotel review reading/etc for you, so that the information is delivered to you in a clear concise way with or without a basic guide/schedule to follow?
