TWD underused normal character-to-character dialogue

TWD underused normal character-to-character dialogue

Characters spent years surviving together, but often it felt like we barely got enough simple conversations between the main characters.
And by “talking,” I mean normal, specific, human dialogue that made relationships feel lived-in.

Rick and Daryl especially feels like a huge missed opportunity. Their bond is obviously strong, but so much of it is implied through loyalty and action instead of actual conversations. Same thing applies to Rick and Glenn.

The show was strongest when it slowed down and let characters exist for a bit. That’s probably why a lot of people appreciated the Daryl/Beth episodes, those were special because we got to sit with two characters and actually feel their dynamic.

Skizzo honestly feels like he would’ve made more sense as Tucker’s right-hand man/ head of security. His ambition, cruelty, and love of control mindset fit Hot Springs much better. Alkai, on the other hand, is rough and suspicious, but he still has a loyal, practical side that feels more like a match to Iron Mike’s culture.

Seriously I feel the world outside can fuck off for a while.
Sometimes your nervous system just wants a place with borders fences, and people doing ordinary stuff, someone fixing a bike, someone standing watch, someone talking nonsense on the radio.

I like testing the limits and seeing what’s possible. I managed to let this wolf through the fence and was curious whether it would attack Boozer or not, but you can see how that went.

On another far-fetched thought, it would’ve been so cool if you could tame a wolf and keep it.

Mine is always parking the bike under cover at the safehouse. The world may be ending, but I’m not letting my bike get wet while i go for a nap!
