AITA because I snatched up his tupperware?

Old throwaway account. I, M29, had a huge fight with my ex, M27, a few days ago and I just wanted to share it here so I can get opinions.

About a year ago my ex, boyfriend at the time, were at his house, and he was just about to head to bed. Before he went to bed, he was going to put away some extra food from the night prior, and I accompanied him to the kitchen. Once there, I informed him that the food was still warm, and you should vent the corner of the container when you put it in the fridge and I come close it completely later. (Sidenote: I am aware this is not the best practice, realistically especially in a commercial kitchen you'd submerge the food in an ice path or use a paddle, but this is just at home cooking.) He declined, and upon him declining, I offered some explanation further. Explaining my safety certificate and my job, a line cook. To this, he yelled at me. Stunned, I stare at him for a moment, before he apologizes, and we move on.

Lately it was brought up again, and this time my ex and I recounted these events, and he feels 'less sorry' about it, and is demanding I 'take accountability' for 'pressuring/pushing him'. His words. The way he explained it, he was worried about his 'autonomy', and said that I had 'went on and on' about it. To give him the widest benefit of the doubt, I think the situation couldn't have lasted more than five minutes. Realistically I think it was even shorter than that, but I'll go with that to put a number on it. He said I grabbed the tupperware 'to stop him', though I'd only picked it up from the table to put it away for him. I was only trying to do a little to prevent him from getting sick, I feel it was a really short interaction, and when I explained this and brought up I'd do the same if he wanted to drink and drive, he proclaimed that trying to stop him from doing that would also be pushing/pressuring, 'but with higher stakes'.

So, reddit, AITA for pressuring my ex?
