Hello people 🙋🏻‍♂️

As the title said, I’m currently planning to expand my small car detailing business and would really appreciate some feedback from this community.

At the moment, I operate a mobile (door-to-door) detailing service where I travel to customer’s homes. I’m now considering opening a physical shop while continuing to offer mobile services as well.

I’ve started doing some groundwork, researching locations, studying the market and I’m planning to attend a professional detailing course to further improve my skills and service quality.

The shop I’m planning won’t be very large, it will be a medium sized setup that can accommodate around 4 cars at a time. My goal is to keep it efficient while still delivering high quality results.

From a customer’s perspective, I would love to understand what really matters to you when choosing a car wash or detailing shop.

For example:

- What kind of pricing structure do you find reasonable or attractive?

- What do you expect from a waiting area (comfort, WiFi, refreshments, etc.)?

- What level of service or attention to detail makes you return?

- Do you value speed, quality, convenience, or all of the above?

Would you still consider mobile detailing or do you prefer going to a physical shop?

Also, if you have had particularly good or bad experiences with detailing services before, I would really appreciate you sharing what stood out.

My goal is to build a business that truly meets customer expectations, so any honest opinions or suggestions would be extremely helpful. 🙏🏻
