My husband and I are going to get a marriage counselor. We tried before we got married in place of a pastor because we are both super young, I was not religious, and his family was super pushy about it going to see a marriage therapist and the guy we ended up seeing decided in half a visit that there was nothing wrong with my husband and I was the full problem and that we should probably not get married for my husband's sake. And yes he actually told us that.

That being said I'm looking for someone and have completely disregarded anyone who is male presenting because of that experience. I guess I'm just looking for confirmation that not every single male marriage counselor is like that and that was a one off so I can broaden my search.
