I keep encountering this guy’s name and the writings seem to expect me to understand all of what “Foucault” means like it is sufficent context. The problem is, I can’t wrap my head around any of this guy’s stuff. When looking online, I get lost even with other explain-like-I‘m-five responses to it. Like everything treats whatever he means by “discourse” or something as self-evident. Can someone explain what meaning I should get from seeing a mention of “Foucault” and what he means by “discourse”?

They should be coming out sometime this week, and all the notifications about scheduling for next quarter has gotten me concerned.
