Inherited Beneficary IRA account ?
my siblings and I are listed as beneficiaries on my deceased fathers edward jones roth ira select and roth ira advisory solutions accounts. i wanted to have my share of the assets transferred into the inherited IRA account with jones and then have them pulled into a schwab inherited ira account. the paperwork that the ej guy sent me says this:
After discussing account options with your financial advisor, you chose to open an Edward Jones Select Transitional Account due to special circumstances which present the need for an account with short−term and limited features.
You chose to fund this account by transferring assets from another Edward Jones account in order to:
· Establish an account to receive assets due to death, divorce or a court order
this doesn't sound like what i was asking for. i wanted the assets to be made as liquid as possible and to avoid fees as much as possible. is an Edward Jones Select Transitional Account the same as an inherited/beneficiary roth ira?
