I went to a MinuteClinic and was told it’s pityriasis rosea
These spots popped up around May 4th and have been progressively spreading/growing since then. Started mostly on my torso but now I have a few in my genital area too, and more keep appearing across my stomach/chest/back.
About 4 days after the rash started, I woke up feeling extremely sick, sore throat, productive cough, exhaustion, etc. I went to a MinuteClinic and was told it’s pityriasis rosea.
From what I’ve read online, PR can happen after viral illnesses, but I’m wondering if it’s worth seeing a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis since it’s spreading so much and involves sensitive areas. Has anyone else had PR present like this?
