I’ve just built a Fancy Feast

85 gram purina cat food can and 140gram tomato paste can (based on the UK)

3mm thick carbon felt has been used.

and I have cut outs at the bottom of the tomato can for fuel to flow though and the felt reaches all the way to the bottom

I initially tried 15ml (half oz) of alcohol, but it wouldn’t light.

Another 15ml (to make 30ml) and it worked

Are there known issues with

— carbon felt not wicking small amounts of fuel upward

— does new carbon felt take a while to “break in”
