MeGain Hits New Low in Public Dislike - Latest YouGov Poll

Newsweek article on new poll

I'd love to hear opinions on why MeGain consistently fails in her marketing and self-promotion. She wants to leverage her marriage and the Montecito McMansion into being a Kardashian with a crown -- but her only distinction is being intensively disliked by a massive percentage of people.

According to a new poll by respected pollster YouGov, MeGain is disliked by 66% and liked by just 20%, giving her the net rating of negative 45%. That's considered very, very bad -- politicians with this kind of score are advised to leave the race. Products seens this way are pulled from the market.

Contrast this with how MeGain was initially nearly the opposite - liked by 66% of Britons when she got engaged to Harry. Prince William's current polling of being liked by 77% of Britons, and Catherine at 74%. Even Hairball does better, his net approval is 18% higher than MeGains.

What i find interesting is why her approach fails, and I would love to hear your opinions.

After all, she really does live in Montecito, has indeed married a (deposed) prince, was on (well, basic cable) television, is reasonably pretty and slender, has two (probably) cute children. And yet she never fails to miss her target of convincing us that she is a symbol of luxury.

Advertising experts could study her to understand how branding works -- and doesn't.

She strives to create envy and to make us covet her products, be they content, a TV show or overpriced fripperies, but all she does is create massive dislike on a record scale. Fascinating.

Palace Intrigue Says Madam Consulting Astrologers

At the gym I've got that podcast Palace Intrigue in my queue, and the latest says that our alliterate one is now consulting astrologers before major moves. I'm not sure how reliable a podcast this is, but in general, on BRF matters they have tracked closely with major newspaper and magazine stories, so I've found them credible.

Here is the episode: Palace Intrigue May 11

Astrologers being consulted? This is getting more Marie Antoinette-ish by the minute. They also report vague rumors that MeMe is flirting with a personal tell-all book or Netflix special. Also, she would like to do a vow renewal ceremony with Hairball on the occasion of their 8th anniversary. This latter move seems like they are desperate for publicity to help them dig out from under that crushing mortgage. My take on vow renewals is that I always thought the idea of vows was that they are permanent commitments and not a subscription. Enjoy!
