First death that gutted me
I’ve just started hospice and have been working in the community with my preceptor. Two weeks ago we met this lovely British man who was so charming and fascinating. Got an email saying he was active this past Friday.
Went to see him Saturday, he was barely conscious but before I left I put my hand on his head, whispered “go in peace”, and he opened his eyes, locked eyes with me, and said clear as day “my guardian angel”…
He died Saturday night.
