Cat yellow mucus and hoarse voice

Hello!

Cat - Totoro, age is 12 yrs, eating and drinking as normal and eating snacks too

About a month ago, my cat’s meow started to sound hoarse, so I took her to the vet. They checked everything and didn’t find anything amiss, plus I had her go through the senior panel, which covers a bunch of things. The only thing they found was tapeworms, and they gave her some medication.

Her voice was still hoarse, and I noticed she was hacking like cats do when they’re trying to get a hairball out, but nothing was coming out. I saw some posts suggesting Vaseline could help if a hairball is stuck. I gave her Vaseline last night, and this morning she threw up some yellow mucus mixed with cat hair.

Is this a sign of a respiratory infection, or is it just normal if she has a hairball stuck?

Is this a keloid or just an irritation bump? (1 week old nostril piercing)

Hi! I got my nostril pierced last Friday (so about 1 week ago). It was initially done with an L-shaped stud, but it almost came out the next day and I had to gently push it back in.

Because of that, I got it changed to a screw-style stud by a piercer on Monday (5 days ago), and it’s been secure since.

Right after the initial issue, I developed a small bump next to the piercing. It hasn’t gotten bigger, doesn’t hurt, and there’s no discharge , it’s just pink and raised.

For aftercare, I’ve been using sterile saline wound wash 2x a day and otherwise leaving it alone.

I’m just worried if this could be a keloid or if it’s more likely an irritation bump from the jewelry change/trauma. Does this look like something that will go away with proper care?

Thanks in advance!
