Can't seem to obtain WCA Decision written explanation/scoresheet despite multiple attempts?

I’m desperately looking for advice regarding delays obtaining the written explanation / scoresheet for my WCA decision, as I honestly feel like I’m at my wits’ end with this process.

I was found fit for work following my WCA decision dated 25 February 2026. Since then, I have been repeatedly trying to obtain the written explanation/scoresheet for the decision, but I still have not received it. This is now around my sixth or seventh attempt.

Timeline:

- 2 March 2026 – requested by telephone and sent a UC journal message (No response)

- 6 March 2026 – further journal message (No response)

- 23 March 2026 – further journal message. (No response)

- 30 March 2026 – telephone follow-up, told someone would be in contact ( alas no response)

*- 7 April 2026 – another telephone follow-up and further journal message. *(*Referred to case manager )

- 8 April 2026 – my case manager sent me a journal message to go to my local Jobcentre in person to request this written explanation. So I did however was only provided with my UC85 medical report, which is not the same as the written explanation/scoresheet. (I explained this to the staff and they told me they did not hold that information)

- 17 April 2026 – Telephone follow up again and journal messaged them again ( referred to case manager again)

- 22 April 2026 – my case manager sent me a journal message that " they've now sent out this information but to be patient because apparently there is backlog...."

- Present day – it has now been weeks since those messages and I still have not received anything by post.

What I’m struggling with is understanding how I’m supposed to properly respond to the decision without receiving a written explanation or scoresheet.

With PIP, there seems to be a much clearer structure. You are generally able to obtain the assessment reasoning, descriptor scoring, and written explanation, which then allows you to respond directly to the points being made and structure your Mandatory Reconsideration around those findings.

With Universal Credit WCA, it feels much less clear. Although some form of scoring and reasoning obviously exists internally, I have not been able to obtain anything clearly explaining what descriptors were applied, what evidence was relied upon, or how the final decision was reached. The UC85 report alone does not seem to fully explain the decision-making process in the same way.

Because of that, I genuinely do not know how I am expected to properly structure or target my Mandatory Reconsideration. I feel like I am trying to respond to a decision without fully knowing the reasoning behind it.

I am also concerned about the Mandatory Reconsideration time limits given the delays in obtaining this information.

My questions are:

* Has anyone experienced similar delays obtaining a WCA written explanation/scoresheet?

* Who actually issues or holds this information? And how do I get it?

* Can delays like this be grounds for extending the Mandatory Reconsideration time limit?

* What would be the best next step from here?

Any advice would be appreciated.
