Some mornings when traffic is really bad on the QEW I take eastport to the lift bridge and get on the QEW afterwards, but half the time the bridge is up so I end up taking even longer.

Is there any way to see if the bridge is up, or is going to go up soon?

Also, seriously can the city/province or whatever cut morning commuters a break and not lift the bridge until after 9am?

When the bridge closes eastport backs up halfway to Woodward, and then there's a traffic light 2-300m after the bridge, so even once the bridge is down it still takes another 15 minutes just to get to the bridge because the light keeps stopping everyone.
