Found Samsung Phone

Found a Samsung Galaxy S23+ near Stone Church Rd & Stonehenge Dr (by the 43 bus stop, on the grass field) morning April 16th

Phone seems to be soaked after the rain, only get to open after drying in silica gel, visible moisture inside the camera, it’s also been remotely wiped, so I’m unable to contact the owner directly.

I know it might be a long shot, but if this could be yours or someone you knew, please reach out

Thanks!

Mental Health Support

I’m posting on behalf of a close friend and could really use some guidance—especially from anyone familiar with resources in the Hamilton, Ontario area.

My friend has been struggling with significant mental health issues, including psychosis, paranoia, OCD, and very high anxiety. She’s been admitted to a psychiatric ward twice and is about to be discharged for the third time. The care team has indicated that her psychotic episodes are likely to be recurring, and that she’ll need ongoing, long-term support.

Her situation has become even more difficult recently. Her main support person—her mother—passed away, and the rest of her immediate family (father, stepfather, siblings) are not in a position to provide the level of care, patience, or understanding she needs.

She also has two children. She’s no longer with their father due to an abusive relationship. He currently has the kids, not because he wants to, but out of necessity, and the family is supporting him financially. CAS has indicated she may regain custody by the end of the summer if her mental health stabilizes—but given her history and medical assessments, there’s concern that recurring episodes could make custody unstable long-term.

I’m trying to figure out what kind of support systems might realistically help her build a stable life and maintain (or regain) custody of her children.

Specifically, I’m wondering:

•	Are there long-term or continuous care programs in Hamilton for individuals with recurring psychosis?

•	Are there community supports (case workers, outpatient programs, assisted living, etc.) that could help her transition safely after discharge?

•	Any organizations that support parents with mental health challenges, especially regarding custody or working with CAS?

•	Are there advocacy groups or legal aid services that could help her navigate custody in a situation like this?

•	Any firsthand experiences or advice from people who’ve supported someone in a similar situation?

I’m just trying to understand what options might exist so she’s not set up to fail once she leaves the hospital.

Thanks in advance for any advice or direction ❤️

Sports bar with sound on and craft beer taps

Been to Bernie's a bunch but wondering what else might be out there.

Wildcat is great but don't generally do sound on.

Odds bar is no more.

And I love me some Buddy's, just interested in options with more Southern Ontario craft on tap here.

Am I missing anything?

Hamilton Musical Theater School

Hi evervone! I'm new to Hamilton and originally from another country. I've studied musical theatre most of my life and I'm looking for a private school or independent studio (not a college or university) that offers training in musical theatre or singing.

Ideally, I'm interested in acting, singing, and dancing, but voice training is my main priority. I'm an adult, and so far I've onlv been able to find programs for kids or teens, so I'm wonderina if there are anv adult-focused options in or around Hamilton.

Any recommendations for studios, private instructors, or local businesses would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Street Parking — Crown Point East

Hey, new to the city and I’m just a little confused about the street parking swapping sides.

I live in crown point east, the sign on the other side of the street opposite my house where I parked my car all winter says “No Parking 1st to the 16th April to November” so i interpret that as I need to move my car to this side of the street on the side of my house today as it’s April 16th.

However, no one else on the street on my block between main and Dunsmure has moved, but cars on the other side of Dunsmure between Dunsmure and Canon have all swapped sides.

Thanks and sorry if this is confusing!

YWCA Emerald Child Care

Does anyone here have their child enrolled at the new YWCA daycare at 20 Emerald St N? I can’t find any reviews with it being such a new location, so I’d love to hear your experiences there or with any YWCA daycare centre in the city.

Wimpy's Ancaster Filming?

I was driving down Wilson St. in Ancaster the other day and noticed a bunch of vans, some trailers, and people carrying cables and tripods at Wimpy's across from the Canadian Tire.

Went by again today and everything was still there. Does anyone know what's going on? Are they filming?

Help finding my brother a good Dr

My sibling is in their mid thirties. Hamilton mountain She suffers from undiagnosed mental health issues making it impossible for them to properly take care of themselves for someone their age. She was diagnosed with ADHD when younger and my dad still sticks to this diagnosis. Drs. Appointments are a nightmare and she is dismissed. She cannot articulate and often brings my mom.

OK to my main point. The last few months, she has been absolutely deteriorating. Cannot walk unassisted, barely eats, chronic abdominal pain, short car rides are becoming too much. She just sleeps and smokes heaps of *leaves* to drown out the pain. Going to the ER she is dismissed as she looks drug seeking, smells heavily of *leaf* and after a brief overview is told she's fine. Even the family Dr. Doesn't take it seriously (which dont get me started he is a terrible dr) and my parents are stuck. Where do we go from here? I suggested trying mcmaster but im not even sure. She's done and just waiting to d*e at this point? I have children and a family/ live in a different city. I cant help out much but is there anything I can do? Any Dr's. Willing to help/ listen??
